Cheerful Alpine Daisy Meadows: It is the middle of summer and all the daisies have come out to play. Their purplish petals flutter in the breeze and sudden gusts make the posies sway and bob on their slender stems. There are more than anyone could ever count and the exhilaration is overpowering. From this very high alpine meadow the tops of the massive mountains look like gentle little peaks . . . but it is a long, long way down. I love the feeling of this area. Wherever I go I am on alert for those fleeting moments when the world reveals a special image with that magical combination of atmosphere, texture, character, and purity, cleverly disguised and woven into the fabric of the every day. Sometime … maybe once every 1,000 times … you get it just right and are able to record and preserve an exquisite visual memento that otherwise would have vanished, lost forever in the relentless motion of space, light, and time.
